Blackpool War Memorial, North Shore, Blackpool
12th November 2023

A contingent of Mark Masons gathered at North Shore Blackpool to support the RWPGM RWBro. Keith Alan Beardmore and the Deputy PGM WBro. Giles Frederick Berkley, at the ceremony of remembrance held at the Blackpool War Memorial.
The War Memorial, which is 30m tall, was erected in 1923 and was celebrating its centenary as a place to honor those who have died in service of the nation.
The weather wasn’t too kind with a grey sky, persistent rain for a period and generally feeling cold. Although, this did not prevent a large number of people from around the area attending and joining the service personnel present at the ceremony to honor and remember those that have lost their lives in conflicts throughout the world.
The RWPGM accompanied by the Deputy PGM, joined the procession of wreath layers and laid the Mark wreath to honor the Mark Masons and Royal Ark Mariners who fell in service of the nation.
